Below are the April PHEAA webinars, sponsored by PAForward, that will assist in understanding the Financial Aid processes and to review Refinancing education debt for those who already have loans and want to know their options.
- The FAFSA opens on 10/1. We recommend that all families complete it as soon as possible to be considered for any need-based financial aid. Many colleges and universities also require completion of the FAFSA prior to awarding any merit scholarships. Follow the link to the right to create your FAFSA ID and complete the FAFSA . Some colleges also require completion of the CSS Profile. Click the link to the right to learn more about this additional form required by some colleges.
- Please check the college tab in Naviance for lists of scholarships that East has received. The list is at the bottom of the "College" tab, under scholarship list and scholarship match. Also, there are helpful scholarship links to the right on this page.
- The CBSD Financial Aid Information Session was held virtually on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 6:30 pm. Ms. Fran McKeown, Access Partner from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), presented on topics including higher education costs, the types of Financial Aid available, and how to apply for Financial Aid (using FAFSA, or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This program is applicable to all high school students and their families seeking to learn more about funding higher education. See below for a link to the recording.
- Additionally, a FAFSA Overview Session was held virtually on Tuesday, November 16, 2022 at 6:30 pm where Ms. Fran McKeown, Access Partner from PHEAA, provided more detailed information about the FAFSA. See below for a link to the recording.
