More than 600 Attend Celebration of Our Schools Event
Hundreds of parents, students, teachers, and community members listened to beautiful music as they walked through a gallery showcase of student art and took part in interactive presentations of curriculum, technology, and more at the district's 2020 Celebration of Our Schools event.
"Our intent here this evening is to celebrate our schools, our students, our teachers, and our entire community," Superintendent Dr. John J. Kopicki said as he began the evening's presentation program, followed by an amazing performance by Central Bucks High School South's "Southside a Cappella" group, directed by Joe Stellino.
Dr. Kopicki discussed the connections between the presentations in the gallery and the district's goals and objectives, placing emphasis on a need to continue to communicate the district's progress, plan for the future, and celebrate successes, "This is an important exercise, and it sets a great example for our students. We’re proud of the work that we’re doing, and we know that our engaged and involved families care about the work that we do."
He gave a bit of background on the district and touched briefly on some of the district's points of pride before introducing a short film that captured the unique spirit of the Central Bucks School District. Watch here!
Dr. Kopicki also celebrated the success of Central Bucks' students, a direct result of their hard work, engaged families, and the supportive Central Bucks School District community, before sharing parting words and introducing a fantastic performance by the Central Bucks High School West jazz ensemble, "Whether you are a student, a teacher, a member of our staff, a friend, or any member of our wider community – being a part of Central Bucks means you are a part of something remarkable."
