    The Central Bucks School District Board of Directors announces with regret the resignations of Lisa Sciscio, Region IV, and Debra Cannon, Region VII, as School Directors effective February 23, 2024. The Board is now seeking candidates for the positions. Citizens will be appointed by the board to fill these positions until they are replaced by the individuals elected in the next Municipal Election.

    Candidates for the current vacancies must meet the following qualifications:


    1. Reside in Region IV: Warrington Township 1, 3, 4, 5 and Warwick Township 1 -or- reside in Region VII: Warrington Township 2, 6, 7, 8. 



    1. Be of good moral character, be at least eighteen years of age, have been a resident of the district for at least one year prior to the date of his/her election or appointment, and not be a holder of any office or position as specified in Section 322 of the School Code; nor shall the individual be a member of the municipal council.
    2. Shall not have been removed from any office of trust under federal, state, or local laws for any malfeasance in such office.
    3. Shall not be engaged in a business transaction with the school district, be employed by the school district, or receive pay for services from the school district, except as provided by law.
    4. Shall take and subscribe to the oath or affirmation prescribed by statute before entering the duties of the office.
    5. Shall file a statement of financial interests with the Board Secretary or designee at the following times:
      1. Before taking the oath of office or entering upon his/her duties. 
      2. Annually by May 1 while serving on the Board. 
      3. By May 1 of the year after leaving the Board.


    The school board is the governing body of the school district with three basic functions: planning, setting policy, and evaluating results. Among other responsibilities, the board establishes school district policies; adopts an annual budget and sets the tax rate; approves expenditures, contracts, and personnel actions; adopts an annual school calendar; and approves textbooks and courses of study.


    All interested candidates should send a cover letter and a resume to School Board Secretary Stephanie Radcliffe at SRADCLIFFE@CBSD.ORG no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024.

    Central Bucks School District SPECIAL MEETING

    Notice is hereby given that the Central Bucks School District Board of School Directors will conduct a Special Meeting on Monday, March 18, 2024 beginning at 7:00 PM in the Board Room of the District’s Educational Services Building located at 16 Welden Drive in Doylestown, PA.  The purpose of the meeting is to interview and appoint candidates to fill school board member vacancies in Regions IV and VII.
