CBSD is proud to announce that 19 of our students were named semifinalists, and 46 students were named among the commended students in the prestigious 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. 

To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, semifinalists must fulfill several rigorous requirements to advance to the finalist level of the competition. About 90 percent of semifinalists are expected to attain finalist standing, and about half of the finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar title. While they will not advance in the competition, the 46 commended students also performed at a distinguished level in the competition.
