When the lights finally came on last month at Central Bucks High School East, it signified much more than just the ability to schedule night time sports. For many in the local community it was the culmination of more than two decades of work.

No wonder then that the initial lighting last month became a community event – with hundreds of people, including athletes, cheerleaders, the CB East Band and a host of others from the area all turning out to celebrate the event and bathe in the glow of the new lights and the new possibilities they bring on the field. 

Included in the evening’s festivities was the presentation of a $112,305.85 check to CBSD by the stadium project committee, the fruit of years of fundraising for the project.
