• 4 Types of Sentences
    There are four types of sentences.

    Declaratiive Sentenes makes statements. They end in a period (.)

    Ex. Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence.


    Interagative sentences ask a question. They end with a question mark (?)

    Ex. What is your favorite subject?


    Imperative sentences provide direction or a command. They end with a (.)

    Ex. Sit down. Place the book on the shelf. Take this folder to the office.


    Exclamatory sentences express strong emotions and end with an exclamation point (!)

    Ex. I am going to be late for practice! It is alive! I got a perfect score on my grammar test!
