Welcome to the Attendance Policies and Procedures Page
Central Bucks School District attendance policies conform to the Pennsylvania School Code sections 1326 to 1333 dealing with compulsory school attendance.
“Every child of compulsory school age having a legal residence in this Commonwealth… is required to attend a day school in which the subjects and activities prescribed by the standards of the State Board of Education are taught.”
Attendance will be taken each school day. Students that are not in class or not logged on at the start of class will be marked absent, or tardy if they arrive late to their physical or virtual class. Online students need to be present and actively participating in their learning. Having the camera on and being visible to the teacher allows the teacher to note their attendance as present. Students who turn off their camera for extended periods of time and are not engaging in the lesson, or leave the class early will be marked absent.
When your child is absent from school (in person or virtually), we must receive a written note or email stating the reason (i.e. illness, appointment) for the absence upon their return. Please include Karen Pirrone, in our attendance office, at firstname.lastname@example.org, on all excuse emails. Please see the links below for attendance forms.
To see your student's attendance record, go to the Parent Portal.
