Friday – CHALLENGE: Write a letter to yourself as a celebration of the way things were and the way things might be in the future in your own life. Choose from the following topics and then write about them in the letter to themselves. Suggested topics:
What was great about 2019-2020 school year?
Do you think you changed over the last year? How?
What are your favorite and least favorite things? Think food, colors, clothes, hobbies, sports, music, classes, etc. - Do you think you will change over the next year? How and in what ways? –
Do you have any predictions about the next year? If you could give your future self one piece of advice, what would it be?
I hope this message finds you well! On Wednesday, May 27, all five middle schools were planning on hosting a Middle School Orientation for all sixth-grade students. Typically, students would have been bused over to their middle schools during the school day for a special three-hour presentation and tour. However, due to the school closures, this was not possible.
The Sixth Grade Orientation Day has always been one of our favorite days, as it is an opportunity to meet our new students and generate excitement for their entrance into middle school. Although we are disappointed that we will not be able to see our new students in person this year, we were able to put together a presentation that we hope will answer many of your questions and give you a great sense of what Tohickon Middle School is all about.
The following presentation will introduce you to many people, including the Principal, Assistant Principal, Guidance Counselors, Athletic Director, 7th Grade Team Leaders and Nurse. If you have any questions after viewing the presentation, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us between now and the start of the next school year in September. All questions involving scheduling concerns, placement questions and/or special considerations should be directed toward your guidance counselor.
