    December 2020 Travel Form

Welcome to the Attendance Policies and Procedures Page

Central Bucks School District attendance policies conform to the Pennsylvania School Code sections 1326 to 1333 dealing with compulsory school attendance.

“Every child of compulsory school age having a legal residence in this Commonwealth… is required to attend a day school in which the subjects and activities prescribed by the standards of the State Board of Education are taught.”

When your student will be absent from school, please report the absence in the Parent Portal, and e-mail your student's teacher prior to 9:00AM.

Here is a list of absence/lateness reasons that are excusable in PA Public Schools: illness, quarantine, death in the immediate family, religious holidays, home emergencies, and health care directly related to the student. Absence excuses must be called/emailed within three (3) days of the student’s return. Excuses no reported within three days may result in the absence(s) being classified as illegal. State law requires that an explanation of absence be stated in order for schools to excuse an absence.

As per CBSB Policy 204, students with more than 10 excused absences cumulative throughout the school year must have a doctor's note for each absence thereafter. Please contact Mrs. Pecoraio, our certified school nurse, if you have questions or concerns about your student's health-related absences.

TO REPORT AN ABSENCE please do one of the following:

    • Report absence in the Parent Portal and e-mail homeroom teacher.
