More Than 1,500 Members of the CBSD Class of 2025 Set to Graduate on June 11!

More than 1,500 Central Bucks seniors will receive diplomas as members of the Class of 2025 on Wednesday, June 11. Reminder on Helmet and E-Bike State Laws to Promote Student Safety

As the weather warms up, students are more regularly walking or biking to school, and e-bikes are becoming increasingly popular. In Pennsylvania, an e-bike is defined as a bicycle with working pedals and an electric motor that provides pedal-assist or throttle power. To ensure our families are aware, under state law, children under 16 are prohibited from operating e-bikes and children under 12 must wear a helmet when riding any bicycle, e-bike, scooter, or segway. The requirement to wear a helmet applies to anyone operating the bicycle, riding as a passenger, or riding in an attached restraining seat or trailer. Also, per CBSD Policy 223, students must have both principal and parent permission to ride a bike to school. We ask families to please ensure children under 16 do not ride an e-bike to school. We also ask parents to ensure children 12 and under wear a helmet and we encourage all bike riders to do the same. Any questions, please contact your school.

Reminder: Early Dismissals on June 11, 12 and 13

As we approach the last month of the school year, we want to remind families about three early dismissals in June: Wednesday, June 11 (graduation); Thursday, June 12 (teacher in-service); and Friday, June 13 (last day of school). On these days, high school will dismiss at 10:40 a.m.; middle school at 10:45 a.m.; and elementary school at 11:55 a.m. (“A” schools), 12:10 p.m. (“B” schools), and 12:25 p.m. (“C” schools). Kindergarteners in our AM program will attend on June 11, which will also be their last day. Kindergartners in our PM program will attend on June 12 and 13, ensuring both AM and PM groups have equally attended school for six half-days over the course of the district's 12 early dismissals this year.
