• Summer 2023

    Hello 4th Grader!

Adventure awaits in N-7 for you this year. I’m excited to be your tour guide as we explore together many new learning opportunities in fourth grade! I am so excited to meet you and hear about your summer adventures! It won't be long until we start our school year!

The Michener clan was missing two of the three girls during the summer. The twins- Emma and Lauren graduated from Central Bucks South in June. They began their college career at Penn State University Park the week after their graduation (No summer for them)! It’s been a bit quiet having only Abby home with Mr. Michener and me! We have been enjoying some smaller trips with the three of us, because this time next year- Abby will be starting college! We visited Emma and Lauren at Penn State for Arts fest. We also visited Virginia Beach in our RV. It was wonderful because we were right on the beach at First Landing! This is where the English Colonists first landed in 1607. There is a legend that Blackbeard hid in the Narrows area of the park- how cool is that??  Another part of our summer has been spent on our family business. My husband teaches sixth grade at Titus Elementary and is the race director for Steelman racing. Some of you may have participated in the CB Kids TRI- how fun was that? We also have several other races over the summer.  I’ve spent a great time of time getting our new classroom ready! Moving from the south wing to the north wing was no easy feat! Our final days before school will be spent getting Abby ready for her senior year of high school, and Mr. Michener and I ready for our school year! I hope your summer was just as exciting!

On the first day of school, please remember to have all your supplies (if you need the list, it is on the Doyle website and the fourth-grade website).  It is very important to label all your supplies with your name. Be sure to wear your smile and have your positive attitude as we begin our year together at Doyle on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

We are going to have a fabulous year together!  As we shared at Fly Up Day, electricity, matter, a tour of the United States, and fractions are just a few of the wonderful topics you will learn about in fourth grade! Enjoy the rest of your summer!  Get ready for a fun-filled year!  I can't wait to see you!

    Warmly, Mrs. Michener
