High School - Grades 9-12, STEAM Fabrication, STEAM Design, STEAM Robotics
High School Technology and Engineering Education
The Technology and Engineering Education program, closely aligned to the Pennsylvania State STEELS Standards, provides students with hands-on opportunities to design, build, and innovate while developing the skills needed for the modern workforce. Through courses in areas such as engineering and architectural design, robotics, computer-aided design (CAD), computer aided manufacturing (CAM), and fabrication, students apply science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) concepts to solve real-world problems.
Students engage in the engineering design process, work individually and collaboratively on projects, and use industry-relevant tools including VEX and other open-source robotics systems, digital design software, 3D printers, CNC routers, Laser Cutters, Vinyl Cutters and traditional design and fabrication equipment. These experiences foster creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, technological and engineering literacy.
The program prepares students for a wide range of postsecondary pathways, including engineering, architecture, skilled trades, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and other technology-driven careers.
