Welcome to the Central Bucks School District K–12 Science Curriculum

The Central Bucks School District K–12 science program is grounded in shared learning principles, program concepts, and instructional practices that guide science teaching and learning across all grade levels. Our curriculum is aligned to the Pennsylvania Science, Technology and Engineering, and Environmental Literacy and Sustainability (STEELS) Standards.

Science instruction in Central Bucks is designed around big ideas, essential questions, and active, student‑centered learning experiences. Across grades K–12, students engage in science as a process of questioning, investigating, analyzing evidence, and communicating their understanding of the natural world.
