The Central Bucks School District offers music instruction to all students from grades K through twelve. Our music department continues to strengthen our highly successful public school music program. Although all of our district music teachers are Pennsylvania-certified to teach all areas of music, they instruct students in their particular areas of expertise. Many of our award-winning high school performing ensembles are nationally recognized for their excellence.
Our music teachers strive to develop the talents of our fine young performing musicians. We also strive to assist all of our students in developing an understanding of, and appreciation for, the art of music. Our standards-based music courses embody four main pillars of learning: Creating, Performing, Responding, Connecting. All courses are designed to help our students become complex thinkers, self-directed learners, effective and creative communicators, informed and responsible citizens, collaborative workers and quality producers.
