Library Programs and Services

CB Libraries Mission:

The mission of Central Bucks libraries is to empower students to become critical thinkers, avid readers, and lifelong learners who contribute productively, ethically, and creatively to the world in which we live.

Programs and Services:

In alignment with our mission, Central Bucks library programs provide:

  1. Access to a wealth of engaging, high-quality print and digital resources, including eBooks, magazines, audiobooks, and databases, making reading both fun and educational for students anytime, anywhere.
  2. Instruction in the ethical, legal, and safe use of information, including how to:
  • locate and access information in print and digital formats
  • evaluate and analyze resources to determine credibility
  • research, synthesize, create, and communicate information
  • integrate information literacy skills in all areas of learning
  1. Collaboration between librarians and classroom teachers to create and teach lessons that support the curriculum across all content areas.
  2. Support for classroom teachers, administrators, and the school community with curating resources for instruction, leveraging library resources and technology for instruction, and effectively integrating library media services, materials, and resources into the curriculum.
