Important Message from the Superintendent

Dear Central Bucks Students, Families, Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Friends:

Recently, the Central Bucks School District was made aware of some disturbing social media posts directed toward a student in our community.  In a time when important issues of equity and acceptance are at the forefront of our nation’s narrative, we are incredibly disheartened by the words and themes that were posted on social media.

Central Bucks School District condemns all forms of violence, inequity, and racism. We confidently say that there is no tolerance for racism, hate and social injustice, and we will continue to work to educate, support and further initiatives related to increasing cultural competence.

We are actively investigating this situation and taking appropriate steps to ensure equity for all students and for the betterment of our community.  Central Bucks is committed to creating a community where everyone may feel safe to be exactly as they are by cultivating a culture of respect that allows us to learn and grow together through challenging circumstances.

Even at a distance, we are connected as we support one another through these most recent events.  Please know that although we are in the midst of summer break, our efforts to learn and improve continue.  We commit to making this important work a priority as we further develop our awareness and understanding of racism and injustice.

Stay Well,

John Kopicki Signature
