Six Schools Selected to Pioneer FDK in 2025-26
Central Bucks School District is excited to share the six elementary schools that will pioneer full-day kindergarten in CBSD next school year.
- Cold Spring Elementary School
- Doyle Elementary School
- Groveland Elementary School
- Jamison Elementary School
- Kutz Elementary School
- Mill Creek Elementary School
These schools were carefully selected according to three main criteria: each school has adequate space to accommodate full-day kindergarten classrooms; each school’s student population, environment, size, and demographics represent a diverse cross-section of our district; and the selected schools represent all three attendance areas for our middle schools and high schools.
We want to assure all our families with kindergarten children next year – as well as every CBSD family – that we are committed to providing excellent learning experiences in every district school regardless of the educational program. Our half-day kindergarten program is exceptional. We are focused on maintaining this quality while we pioneer a full-day program that will help chart the future of our district.
Kindergarten Registration to Open on Nov. 11
Families who live in the attendance areas of the pioneer schools and have children who qualify for kindergarten in CBSD next school year will have the opportunity to register for the program beginning Monday, Nov. 11. All families with children entering CBSD kindergarten in 2025-26 will also be able to register beginning on Nov. 11.
As a reminder, the 2025-26 pioneer schools will not offer half-day programs. Families living in the pioneer school attendance areas will be unable to request enrollment in a half-day program at another elementary school. Similarly, families living in attendance areas that offer a half-day program in 2025-26 will not be able to request enrollment in a pioneer full-day program.
If you have any questions about the process of identifying our schools to pioneer full day kindergarten, please reach out Superintendent Dr. Steven Yanni syanni@cbsd.org or Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education Dr. Nadine Garvin at ngarvin@cbsd.org. You can also visit our realignment and full-day kindergarten webpage as well as an informational packet that provides more details about our selection process.
We are excited to reach this milestone on our collective journey toward a full-day kindergarten program for CB’s youngest learners. As always, I thank you for your support and partnership.
