CBSD MBIT Students Collaborate with Academy of Natural Sciences to Design, Patent Invention
Three CBSD students in MBIT's Engineering-Related Technology program worked to develop a groundbreaking invention in partnership with the Ornithology Department at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. The students successfully designed, developed, and patented a collapsible hide tumbler.

Congratulations SkillsUSA State Competition Winners
Students from various technical schools throughout Pennsylvania competed in the 2023 SkillsUSA State Competitions in Hershey. MBIT had 26 competitors participating who earned a total of 15 medals: 3 gold medal winners, 7 silver medal winners and 5 bronze medal winners - 10 of whom were Central Bucks students!

CB South MBIT Student and Partner Win Automotive Technology Competition
Congratulations to CB South's Conor McGlinchey, who along with his partner Patrick Gallelli of Council Rock South won first place in the Philadelphia Top Tech Challenge Competition! The two MBIT students received more than $285,000 in scholarships and tools for their 1st place win!

CB Save The Music Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Concerts to Benefit Philadelphia Schools
Unless you’re a parent, it’s understandable if your eyes glaze over when you hear the words “middle school concert.” But what if this concert is a joyful two-day, three-concert music festival at Holicong Middle School, with hundreds of performers and 2,400 spectators? And what if this Central Bucks School District event raises more than $50,000 a year for the Save The Music Foundation? How about if all proceeds from this year’s concerts go to the School District of Philadelphia?

School Board Meeting Broadcast
Central Bucks will begin broadcasting a live audio and video feed of the district’s monthly school board meetings.

CBSD Community Message on Library Materials Policy
As you may know, the CBSD School Board conducts policy reviews on an ongoing basis as part of its governance responsibilities. Included in this process has been the development of an updated Library Materials policy (Policy 109.2), which will be voted on by the Board at the July 26 meeting.

Students Celebrate Participation in Biotechnology Program
More than 30 Central Bucks high school students were recognized after participating in the partnership program between the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center and Central Bucks School District.

CBSD to Launch Education Foundation
The Central Bucks School District is pursuing the development of an educational foundation to serve as an exclusive fundraising and community connections partner for the Central Bucks School District and its 23 schools, supporting initiatives outside the confines of the Board approved operating budget.

School breakfast and lunch has been available for Central Bucks School District students at no cost since March 2020.

Congratulations to this year's NTHS Inductees
The Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) inducted fourteen new student members, nine of whom are Central Bucks students. The mission of the NTHS is to honor student achievement and leadership in career and technical education, promote educational excellence, award scholarships, and enhance career opportunities for the NTHS membership.

For the ninth year in a row, the Central Bucks School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education.

CB Students Paired with Mentors for Business Simulation Event
This two-day event invites about 60 AP economics and business students from all three CBSD high schools to gather in a conference room with more than a dozen mentors. They manage a simulated for-profit student company, engaging in varied exercises and friendly competition.

Minding Your Mind - Just Talk About It - MS Family Presentation
Designed for all CBSD middle school families, this interactive presentation is an introdution to mental health, designed to train parents and caregivers on how to recognize the warning signs of stress, anxiety, depression, and crisis.

Tohickon Librarian, Bridget Fox, and three Tohickon students, Matthew Boell, Prithvi Krish, and Yoel Nahor were invited to lead the final keynote discussion at the 2021 Bucks County BookFest on Saturday, September 25.
