2026-29 Comprehensive Planning Process Kicks Off

A group stands together having a discussion.

What will Central Bucks schools look like in 2030? On Sept. 16 at CB South, nearly 50 administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community members came together to imagine this future at the official kickoff of Vision 2030: Honor the Past. Design the Future, the district’s next comprehensive plan that will guide priorities through 2029.

While the Pennsylvania Department of Education requires school districts to submit a comprehensive plan every three years, completing this process is more than meeting a deadline. It presents a chance to reflect on the district’s journey, identify goals and action steps for the years ahead, and design a shared vision for the future of our schools.

After a introductory presentation, participants spent the evening moving through four feedback stations that represented the priority areas the district will carry over from 2023-26 comprehensive plan: Academic Excellence, Technology and Innovation, Health and Wellness, and Community Engagement.

People gathered around a table are engaged in a lively conversation

The conversations were lively and forward-looking. Groups considered questions such as: What evidence of academic success should we see by 2030? What professional development would most improve staff and student digital literacy? What additional supports would best strengthen student mental health and resilience? How can CBSD deepen connections with students, families, and community partners?

Feedback gathered from the evening will inform the plan, which is due to PDE in March 2026. The next comprehensive planning session will be held on November 11, when participants will begin developing goals and action steps in each priority area. A follow-up session is scheduled for January 2026, with a draft plan to be posted for public review in February 2026.
