School Closing and Schedule Changes

Please know that schools are open as scheduled unless the community is directly notified otherwise by CBSD.

Flexible Instructional Days

On a Flexible Instructional Day (FID), learning continues remotely with asynchronous instruction and live support. A FID will not be called unless all schools need to close.

MBIT Transportation

When CBSD is closed but the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology is open, the following procedure is followed:

  • Morning Session: Students must arrange their own transportation to CB West and CB South. The alternate drivers then transport the students from the high schools to MBIT at 7:20 a.m. Students are then taken directly home from MBIT, or back to the high school, late bus style, at 10:45 a.m.
  • Afternoon Session: Students must arrange their own transportation to CB West and CB South. The alternate drivers then transport the students from the high schools to MBIT at 10:30 a.m. Students are then taken directly home from MBIT, or back to the high school, late bus style, at 2:15 p.m.

A Reminder for Families: Please do not call a school during an emergency unless you have absolutely urgent information to share. District staff is focused on responding to the emergency at hand.
