Distant Learning for all groups - April 2, 2020

It is "Thankful Thursday".  First, I am thankful for all of the students that I get to teach every day.  Their smiles and hard work make me want to come to work each day (even if it is virtually).  Next, I am thankful for the teachers at Doyle that work as a team and help each other succeed as a school.  Finally, I am thankful for my family and the time we spend together doing activities we enjoy doing!

Assignment:  Email a teacher that you feel made you a better student!  It will make their day!

Distant Learning for all groups - April 1, 2020

It is What'cha Reading Wednesday!  Email me (cmiller@cbsd.org) or use Seesaw (reading with Mrs. Miller folder)to share what you are reading right now.  Here are some ideas:  snap a picture of you holding the book, read a page to me, tell me your favorite part, draw me a picture about something that surprised you!

I can't wait to hear from you!

Distant Learning for all groups - March 31, 2020

Please check that you accomplished #1 and #2 below, from March 30, 2020.

The following email blast was sent out yesterday to all title 1 students.  If you did not receive it, please email cmiller@cbsd.org.

    Hello Title 1 Friends,

We are hoping that you are all doing well.  We truly miss seeing your children’s smiling faces.  We are doing a quick check-in to make sure that you are getting the resources that you need.  If we work with your children directly, you may be receiving a separate email for a phone conference this week.  Please know that we are available to all of you for a phone conference, if you feel it is necessary.

We have attached a few resources to use, if necessary.  Also know that we are posting lessons on our reading websites.  You will find them under “Doyle” and our names.

    Be safe!

    Carol Miller, reading specialist
