  • Dear Families,

Welcome back for the 2019-2020 school year! My name is Lauren Titus and I am honored to be your child’s special education teacher this year. This will be my fifth year teaching, but my first year with the Central Bucks School District. Prior to my start here, I worked as a 4th and 5th grade special education teacher in Pittsburgh and a 7th and 8th learning behavior specialist in Chicago.

To let you know more about me, I am originally from the Bucks County area. I graduated from Neshaminy High School. After graduation, I went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh and completed my undergraduate and Master's degree in Instruction and Learning in 2015. It was here that I found my husband, Brian, and decided to make Pittsburgh my home for a bit. This past year, Brian and I moved to Chicago as he pursued his MBA. Chicago was an amazing city, but there is no place like home! Just a few short weeks ago, we moved back to Bucks County and got married! You may notice that some things will say Lauren Gecht, as I am still in the process of changing my name.

In preparation for the new school year, please follow the supply list provided by your child’s homeroom teacher. This information can be found on the teacher’s website or their welcome letter. I have attached a parent survey that can be returned on the first day of school or at supply drop off on August 29th at 9:00 AM. My room is D7 (right by the recess doors) and I would love for you to stop by! For your convenience, this survey is also available to be filled out online using this link!

My mission this year is to provide your child with a safe environment where they feel comfortable to take risks with their learning and advocate for themselves. Working as a team will be important to accomplish this goal. Please feel free to email me with concerns at I check my email often and will respond in a timely manner.

I look forward to working with your child and you to make this school year the best yet!
