Dear Fifth Graders,
I am so excited to start our new school year together. I hope you have enjoyed your summer. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Below you will find my welcome letter and the supply list for the 2021-2022 school year. I can't wait to meet you!
Dear 5D Families,
Greetings, and welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. I am excited to be your child’s 5th grade teacher and look forward to working with your family this year.
The first week of school will be spent on getting to know one another and building our classroom community. Since the students did not have a traditional move up day, I wanted to share a little bit about myself. I have been a teacher for eleven years and have taught many different grade levels but have mostly found myself learning along fifth graders. This is my 5th year at Pine Run and I absolutely love teaching here because of our strong sense of community- Pine Run Proud! I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. I love teaching fifth grade and I can’t wait to work together with you and your child.
In the spirit of the beginnings of a new school year, I would like to ask you what your hope and dream is for your child this year. Please take a moment to send me an email with a goal you have for your child this year. You can include an academic goal, a social goal, or both. Please include any amount of detail you would like- a sentence, a paragraph, any response will be greatly appreciated in helping me get to know you and your child. My personal hope and dream this year is that every student feels cared for, enjoys all that 5th grade has to offer, and does his/her best learning.
In closing, please know that I value parent-teacher communication and I look forward to working with you to give your child a successful learning experience.
