All 1st-6th grade students at Titus will receive 40 minutes of music class every week. In addition to classroom music lessons and activities, students will have extra performance opportunities. All students in grades 1 through 4 will participate in a Spotlight on the Arts Concert. 5th and 6th graders will have the opportunity to participate in the Titus School Chorus in the spring. Participation information will be posted as the school year progresses.
Another highlight for 4th grade students is the recorder program. All 4th graders will have the opportunity to learn to play the recorder in the general music classroom. The "Recorder Karate" program is fun and challenges students as it prepares them to participate in the band in 5th grade. Students get to show off their newly learned skills in their annual Spotlight on the Arts Concert in the Spring.
