My name is Mrs. Gallaway and I am one of the first grade teachers this year! Let me start by saying, I am so excited to meet and have you in my class. Before we get to business, let me tell you a little bit about myself:

Fun Facts: I love all things Disney especially Disney World and Star Wars. In the summer, you can find me in my garden, playing in the dirt and taking care of my flowers. Mr. Gallaway and I have a cat named Mie.  I will be sharing a lot of funny stories about her throughout the year. Do you like sports? I do, especially hockey and baseball.

First Grade Happenings: Learning will be a blast this year! Some of the FUN things we will learn about include living things, like plants and animals! We’ll take a pretend trip around the world to learn about different winter holidays and traditions. We will also go on plenty of adventures in books as we practice our reading skills. We’ll get to share some of our real life adventures as we learn more about writing. In math, you will continue to work with ten frames and by the end of the year, you will be learning how to add and subtract two-digit numbers!
