Welcome to the wonderful world of sixth grade! I look forward to the start of school and hope you had a relaxing and safe summer vacation. As you prepare for the opening of the school year, I want to give you a few tips to help you organize for success for this year. The link 'Suggested Supplies' consists of a list of supplies that are optional, but they will be most helpful for the school year. You will NOT need spiral notebooks, looseleaf paper or expandable files. You can view the rest of your academic and special schedule under the 'Schedules' link. You are able to view and print your summer letter and supply list on the 'Suggested Supply' link.We are one of four sixth grade classes at Jamison Elementary School. There are 24 students in our classroom: 14 boys and 10 girls. I'm excited about starting a new school year and welcome everyone to our class. I am proud to be your teacher this year. You'll find a lot of information about our class on this site. Bookmark it as a favorite so you can access it at home as needed. It's beneficial because it keeps both students and parents up to date on what we are doing in class, homework and events. I hope it helps all our parents become involved in student learning. Parental involvement helps students succeed in school: Parents are their children's first and most influential teachers.Parents, I know the first week back to school is a busy time. I put our Parent Questionnaire online to give you more time to complete it. Please help me to get to know your child a little better by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page and filling out the questionnaire by the second week of school. Your answers can only be viewed by me and are confidential. Thank you for your time.Enjoy these last lazy days of summer, and get ready for the BEST school year EVER!
