• Attention Band Students:

I'm looking forward to seeing some of you live in class soon! There are many details to be worked out, so stay tuned! (Pun intended)

If you are considering joining the band this year as a 5th or 6th grader or switching instruments from last year, please let me know. Also, please order your instruments asap so you can brush up on your skills, remember which end to blow in or how to hold the sticks, and be ready for whenever we get started.

I'm looking forward to a fun and interesting year!

    Welcome to the Band!!

By way of introduction, my name is Mark Appiotti and this will be my 33rd year teaching instrumental music, my 28th in Central Bucks, and this will be my 14th year teaching at the elementary level. For 14 years I was the band director at Lenape Middle School in Doylestown and for 5 years before that I directed the bands at Harry S Truman High School in Levittown, PA. I had the privilege of building award -winning marching, jazz, and concert band programs at both schools and I’m confident that your child will have an outstanding experience in the elementary band here! I hold a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Mansfield University and a Masters Degree in music from the University of the Arts. I’m twice listed in the Who’s who of American Teachers and have worked as a professional trumpet player and festival adjudicator. Each July for the past 25 years, I’ve directed the C.B. Community Band for our outdoor concert series at the Doylestown Courthouse. I was born and raised in Philadelphia and I now live in Bucks County with my high school sweetheart and bride of 31 years, Karen. We have 6 children ranging in age from ages 25 to 12 with 3 still at home.
