Phase 2 Distance Learning
Phase 2 Distance Learning is about to launch. We will begin on Monday, April 6 with a TEAMS "Live Chat" at 9AM. In fact, our goals for the day are to simply connect as a whole class again using TEAMS and to try to complete a simple assignment through TEAMS. Students will need to log in through the district homepage using Office 365. Students should navigate using Clever to connect with district "apps" like TEAMS or Seesaw or Xtramath. I will send an invitation through each students e-amail account.
Below you find some updated information and a general schedule in an attached Word document. I may need to adjust some times as I learn what works best during the first few days of instruction. Thanks for all of your efforts so far! I look forward to our class meeting on Monday.
Daily Expectations for Students:
- Attend Morning Meeting check-ins through TEAMS (live) or FlipGrid (coming soon fingers crossed)
- Check TEAMS for daily and weekly assignments
- Complete and submit assignments on time
- Abide by CB meeting guidelines, found here.
The students can access all necessary websites and platforms through their Office 365 account. Our class will be using TEAMS for the majority of instruction, assignments, and materials. Seesaw will still be used to connect with specialists.
Throughout Phase 2, the students may need to also access the following sites which can all be accessed through Office 365 and Clever.
- Ed: Your Friend in Learning (Math)
- TCI (Social Studies)
- Typing Agent (Writing).
View the resource links below, as needed.
- How to access Office 365, Microsoft apps, Clever, and other school apps
- How to access a TEAMS video call
- Parent video: How to help your child access their TEAMS page
Note: Beginning April 14th, Specialists will begin Phase 2 instruction. During this time, all special class lessons will be shared via Seesaw per the District's request. From now until April 14th, Specialists will have Phase 1 lessons still posted for students who would like to finish an activity or challenge themselves if another option.
Note: Mrs. Schlotter’s math students do not need to do anything different. The TEAMS math page is rostered for specific math classes. That means your child's TEAMS page for math will connect you to Mrs. Schlotter's lessons.
