Clearances / Required Paperwork (Volunteers/Contractors)
All employees, volunteers and vendors are required to have clearances and/or background checks in order to work or volunteer in a Pennsylvania public school district. Please click the appropriate category from the left-side navigation pane for instructions, forms, and links for each category.
CBSD offers notary services for the volunteer and student affidavits free of charge at the Administrative Services Center, 20 Welden Drive, Doylestown, PA 18901 between the hours of 8:00am - noon and 2:00pm - 4:00pm*.
*While appointments are not required, please call the office first to be sure our notary is available (267-893-2000 or 267-893-2134).
You must have photo ID and complete and sign the form in the presence of the notary.
New employees should refer to the Employee Clearances/Paperwork section for important information (see left-side navigation pane).
Mandated Reporter Information: Under Pennsylvania law, any person having direct contact with school children is considered a mandatory reporter and is required to report reasonable suspicion of child abuse.
All Central Bucks School District volunteers are mandated reporters. We recommend volunteers complete an online training course through the University of Pittsburgh's Child Welfare Resource Center, “Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse: Mandated and Permissive Reporting in PA.” Click the link to take the course, then upload your certificate to your Raptor account. https://www.reportabusepa.pitt.edu/.
