Property Tax Rebates
Central Bucks School District offers two property tax rebate programs. The first is open to eligible senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and low-income homeowners. The second is open to eligible individuals who volunteer for emergency services.
For Senior Citizens, Individuals with Disabilities, and Low-Income Homeowners

CBSD offers a Property Tax Rebate Program to support senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and low-income homeowners and renters in our community.
Through the program, eligible CB residents can complete an application to get money back from the district when paying their CB property taxes.
- Modeled after Pennsylvania’s existing rebate program and similar efforts in neighboring districts, this new initiative provides a rebate from the district equal to 50% of the state rebate, up to $750.
- For example, if a CB resident receives a property tax rebate from the state for $1,000, the resident may be eligible for a property tax rebate of $500 from Central Bucks School District.
- The CBSD rebate is not 50% of a resident's CBSD property tax bill. It may be 50% of the rebate amount received through the state's program.
- Approximately 2,000 CB households already receive a state rebate and would be eligible to receive the CB rebate.
- Applications will be accepted from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
- Residents who may know a family member, friends, or neighbor who qualifies are also encouraged to share this opportunity!

For Emergency Service Volunteers

If are a volunteer with a local fire company or nonprofit emergency medical service agency, Central Bucks School District wants to thank you for your service by helping reduce your property taxes.
A Volunteer Service Tax Credit Program passed by the CBSD School Board in September 2024 provides an opportunity for volunteer firefighters, EMTs, and administrative volunteers to receive a property tax rebate in recognition of their dedicated service to the people of Central Bucks.
Who Qualifies?
To qualify for the tax credit, individuals must be active members of an eligible fire or emergency medical services agency and earn points based on their service. Points can be accumulated for various reasons, including by responding to emergency calls, participating in training sessions, attending public outreach events, and holding leadership roles within their organizations. Volunteer emergency personnel who were injured during their service are also eligible.
A Points System
The amount of the rebate is based on a points system. By earning 100 points, eligible volunteers can receive a 25% reduction on their district property taxes, up to $250. With 200 points, the credit increases to 50% (up to $500), and at 400 points, it climbs to 75% (up to $750). Volunteers reaching 600 points will be eligible for a 100% credit, covering up to $1,000 in property taxes. Administrative volunteers can earn up to a 10% tax credit (up to $100) with 50 points.
How to Apply
Volunteer emergency personnel were able to apply for the tax credit starting in July 2025 for taxes paid in 2024.
