Beginning July 31, 2026, the fee for credit/debit card payments will increase to $3.75 per transaction from $3.50. Parents and guardians can also send in a check with their student(s) that can be given to a cafeteria cashier. The e-check fee will remain the same.

Wayne Gehris, with 25 years of experience leading public-sector financial operations, was approved by the school board as CBSD's new CFO on June 25. He will join CB from Reading School District, where he has served as CFO since 2014.

CBSD celebrated the 67 employees who retired during the 2025-26 school year at an annual ceremony on May 27. Apple Awards were also presented to a variety of employees for their efforts this year.

CBSD is pleased to announce that Christie Corcoran has been selected as the next principal of Warwick Elementary School, pending approval by the CBSD School Board at the May 28 business meeting. She will take over for Brian Finger, who is retiring in August.

Students Marjorie Yaschur at CB East and Hari Kasibhotla and Lucas Vicente-Mendoza at CB South each won top honors in their respective categories at the state event held on April 25 and 26 at the University of Scranton.

The latest round of grants support various initiatives, including two innovative technology endeavors that expand hands-on learning opportunities for students across the district's 15 elementary schools.

The forum featured a 45-minute Q&A session based on nearly 70 questions submitted by 40 individuals. Dr. Wexler covered topics including special education, equity and access, school climate, rebuilding trust, technology, and the district’s financial outlook.

Currently serving as assistant superintendent of Great Valley School District, Dr. Wexler was selected by the school board following a comprehensive national search and will be introduced to the CB community at a public forum on April 8. The board is scheduled to vote on her official appointment on April 14.
