I absolutely love teaching! Every year it just gets better and better! I am passionate about teaching and wanted to become an educator so that I could teach children to value education. I have had many inspiring teachers throughout my academic journey and I hope to emulate some of the wonderful lessons and activities that I experienced. This will be my nineth year teaching. Prior to becoming a Reading Specialist, I previously taught fourth grade at Kutz and Jamison Elementary, second and fifth grade at Buckingham Elementary, and Kindergarten here at Butler.
I have attended the Central Bucks School District throughout my school years and am eager to now be teaching in this exceptional district! I grew up in Plumsteadville, PA where I attended Central Bucks East High School. Upon graduating from high school, I attended Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Special Education. I earned my Master's Degree in Education and my Reading Specialist Certification from Cabrini College I 2015. That summer, I participated in the Pennsylvania Writing and Literature Project and was inducted as a PAWLP Fellow..

When I'm not teaching, I keep myself busy! I Travis & I love to run and exercise. I have competed in several marathons and triathlons. I love to swim, bike, run, and lift weights. You can typically find me on the weekends in town running or biking. In addition to exercising and competing, Travis and I love to spend time with our families and friends. Some of my favorite pastimes include reading and writing. And, not surprisingly, I love to shop! Clothing, shoes, home décor - anything really! I am addicted to Wawa Hazelnut Coffee and have a cup every morning. I also have an ice cream obsession. If you have not visited Sundae School in Souderton - you must go - the BEST ice cream.

I'm looking forward to working with your child to strengthen their foundational literacy skills and foster a life-long love of reading!
