Hello Wonderful Second Grader! My name is Mrs. Wells and I am your second grade teacher! I am very excited to meet you. This letter is to introduce myself and get you ready for the first day of school!
I opened Groveland in 2000, seems like yesterday, but it was a long time ago. I have taught kindergarten,
first, second, and third grade. I love second grade, together we will have fun, and learn so much this year.
I enjoy spending time with my family and our pets. Appa is our happy 10 year old Golden Retriever and Pumpkin is our fluffy bunny. I have many silly stories to tell you about Appa because he is a naughty dog. Pumpkin likes to snuggle and is as sweet as pie.
My daughter, Sarah, is a freshman at Penn State! It has been a busy summer getting her ready for college. My son, Connor, is a junior at East. Connor got his driver's license this summer and plays golf after work almost every day!
This summer we went to the beach, my favorite place to be, and enjoyed collecting shells, taking walks in the soft sand, and eating lots of icecream. YUM!
My family and I spent the 4th of July watching fireworks on the beach. It was magical! We sat as sparkling colors lit up the dark sky above us. I'm wondering if you have had a magical experience, we will have to share when we return to school.
I am looking forward to meeting you and seeing your smile on the first day. Our room number is 121 and I will be waiting at the door to greet you.
Please review our supply list, it will help you get off to a terrific start in second grade. Our room is also PEANUT SAFE, please do not bring any nut products into our classroom.
