- All About Mrs. Warner

Hi! My name is Mrs. Warner. I am a second grade teacher at Simon Butler Elementary School. I started teaching at Butler in 2002 as a student teacher from Penn State University (Go Nittany Lions!). Right after graduation, I was very fortunate to come back to Butler as a full-time classroom teacher. This 2022-2023 school year will be my 20th year teaching at Butler. I absolutely love my job! I love the conversations, stories, friendships, smiles, and growth that takes place throughout the school year. My students are my top priority for the next 10 months. Their safety, well-being, happiness, growth as an academic student, growth as a social peer, and their overall outlook to a positive school experience is on top of my to do list!
At Penn State, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education along with a minor in Psychology. After my undergraduate studies, I applied to the Master's program at Delaware Valley College where I received my Educational Leadership Degree accompanied with my Principal Certification. I was fortunate enough to be a student teacher at Butler, a regular education classroom teacher at Butler, and then a principal intern at Butler. My cycle of experiences motivated me to learn ways to become a better teacher and how to involve students and parents into my classroom. So I decided to join the Widener University team to pursue my doctorate degree. In May 2009, I graduated with my Ed.D in Curriculum, Instruction, and Staff Development.
Aside from my passion for teaching young children, I also enjoy playing soccer. I played soccer for 9 years. Spending time with my daughters, husband, mom, dad, and my doggie Gracie is very important to me. Their guidance, advice, and continuous support throughout my life have led me to where I am today.
I am proud to be your child's teacher. I look forward to working with each parent this year. We need to be a team, working together, with one goal in mind which is to do everything we can possible to help "our" child/student.
All the best,
Mrs. Warner
