Mr. Joseph Stellino

Mr. Joseph Stellino began teaching at the age of 11 in Pennington, NJ. Here he started a private piano studio that made him realize that teaching music was his passion. He went on to Hopewell Valley Central High School where he was part of both the band and the choir as well as the musical productions. His senior year he was asked by his teachers to direct the music for the fall drama.

In 2007 Mr. Stellino received his Bachelors in Music Education from The College of New Jersey where his main focus was classical piano studies. While at TCNJ Joseph studied piano with Dr. Tomoko Kanamaru. He was also a member of the College of New Jersey Chorale under the direction of Dr. Michael Mendoza for all four years of his undergraduate studies.

Mr. Stellino continued his studies and graduated from Holy Family University with a Masters in Education. To continue his education, Mr. Stellino has taken elective graduate courses at University of the Arts at Villanova, Westminster Choir College, and West Chester University.

After completing his undergraduate studies at TCNJ, Mr. Stellino began working for the Central Bucks School district as the director of the Tohickon Middle School Choirs. Here he increased enrollment in choir and had a choir program of 700+ students.

While at Tohickon Joseph's students were given the opportunity to work with composer Dr. Rollo Dilworth and the CB West Choir. CB West, Tohickon and sister school Lenape, commissioned pieces by Dr. Dilworth including "Hand in Hand" and "Justice". Tohickon students also participated in the Central Bucks A Cappella Festival, which was a collaboration of Central Bucks Middle School Teachers. Students in choir had the opportunity to work with a cappella groups such as Five O'Clock Shadow and the House Jacks.

Mr. Stellino has been the choir director at Central Bucks High School South for the past four school years. While at the High School, Mr. Stellino has grown the program to include a pop A Cappella group. In the short time Mr. Stellino has been director, the choir has performed at many famous venues including: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The House of Blues in Cleveland, The US Naval Academy Chapel, The Main Stage at Disney Springs, Quincy Market, The John F Kennedy Library, as well as many local venues. All of the choirs sing a range of sacred and secular music.

Mr. Stellino looks forward to working with the students and their families to continue on with the positive culture of singing in Bucks County in the 2017 - 2018 school year.
