• Welcome Back

    Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Hello and welcome to fifth grade!  I am Mrs. Bannon, and I will be your teacher for this upcoming school year!  I am so very excited to be teaching fifth grade and that I get to work with YOU!  As most of you know, I have been at Groveland since the original opening in 2000!  To give you some background on me, I have been with CB since 1998 and have taught first, second, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.  I am a graduate of Penn State University, I received my master’s degree from Wilkes University in Curriculum and Instruction, and I received my certificate of supervision from Cabrini College.

I have three children: Maddie (a junior at the University of Tampa), Christopher (a freshmen at Penn State University) and Connor (a senior at CB West).  All three of my children have gone through Groveland and Tohickon, and we are just finishing up CB West!  We are clearly a family of Great Grizzlies!  My children also enjoy playing sports!  Maddie was a soccer player and Christopher was a football player and ran track.  Connor plays baseball!

This year for fifth grade will be VERY EXCITING!  I cannot wait to get to work!    To help you get ready for the upcoming school year, I would suggest bringing the following:

    • A backpack
    • Plastic folders to organize your papers
    • Pencil case
    • Smock for art class
    • A book for silent reading (must be kept in your desk daily)
    • Daily snack
    • Water bottle

Enjoy the final weeks of your summer vacation!  I know I will as I have a few baseball tournaments for Connor and then in August, I will be taking Christopher out to Penn State and visiting colleges for Connor.  Maddie will be leaving for Tampa for her with her roommates and then I will be at the beach with some friends!  Rest up, have fun, and be safe!

I am looking forward to having a super, fantastic year with you in fifth grade!  If you have any questions, please reach out via email:  abannon@cbsd.org.
