Blazer’s Summer Reading Challenge!
Research has shown that children who read at home over the summer do better in school in September than those who do not! In order to encourage at-home reading, Bridge Valley Elementary is sponsoring a summer reading incentive.
- We are asking each Bridge Valley student to read a minimum of six books.
- For every book or 50 pages read, you can color in one pawprint on the reading bookmark.
- Bring your completed bookmark back to school by September 16th.
- For each completed bookmark, you get a chance for a grade level drawing. The student from that drawing will win a lunch with our mascot, Blazer.
Remember, the more you read, the higher chance of you winning.
Keep everything in a safe place and feel free to make extra copies, if needed. If students read more than six books, they may complete another bookmark. When school resumes in the fall, students should return their bookmarks to their new classroom teacher the first week of school.
We hope our incentive will help make reading fun for your child.
Thank you in advance for helping our Bridge Valley students compete in “Blazer’s Summer Reading Challenge” this summer!
Thanks for your support,
