“We believe in our collective responsibility to ensure a welcoming, caring, and loving environment for every child, every day.”

  • Thank you for visiting my page. At Barclay, we believe our diversity is an asset, something we are extremely proud of.  We strive to create a welcoming environment for ALL families of ALL backgrounds.  However, recent tragedies have put a spotlight on racism and inequality in our country.  A lot of research has shown having conversations about race at home is extremely valuable to children of all colors.  While these conversations may be difficult or uncomfortable, it is important we all talk to our children about race in our country.  Our goal is not for children to be 'colorblind' but rather recognize and celebrate our divsity.  My hope is you'll find some of these resources helpful when talking to your children.
