     Microsoft Teams Resource

    Please refer to Mrs. Scott’s teacher website https://www.cbsd.org/Domain/991 for information pertaining to science or social studies instruction and assignments.

    The mathematics and written language instructional activities and assignments posted on my teacher site parallel those posted by Mrs. Scott, but in addition, I will provide differentiated presentation of information, various accommodations, and/or one-on-one assistance during daily student check-ins to support students who currently have written language or mathematics IEP goals and require support to complete assignments.

    Additionally, I will provide alternate small group reading lessons with additional one-on-one and/or small group support for students with Reading IEP goals, therefore if your child has a reading IEP goal they will complete the reading lessons posted on my site rather than those posted by Mrs. Scott.

    Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you have or to request any assistance you or your child may need. :)

     

     

    Monday, 5/11/20-

    Don’t forget to join Mrs. Scott’s class meeting at 9:00!!!

    Reading- You will use the RACE procedure to respond to open-ended comprehension questions about the Meeting Mrs. Pierce text.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the “RACE practice 1-Meeting Mrs. Pierce” Assignment and download it.
    3. Complete the assignment by using the RACE procedure to create a 3 or more-sentence response to each of the open-ended comprehension questions.
    4. Upload your completed assignment on Teams.

    Writing- You will finish the conclusion paragraph for your research essay.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Review the “Research Writing Day 9- Creating a Conclusion” instructional PowerPoint from last week.
    3. Complete and submit the “Conclusion Organizer” assignment as instructed within the PowerPoint and submit on Teams.

    Math-

    1. Access Mrs. Scott’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the Math Assignment for today.
    3. Complete and submit the completed assignment. Reach out if you need assistance completing any parts of the assignment.

    Check Seesaw for your QUEST assignment for today.

    Tuesday, 5/12/20-

    Reading- Participate in today’s guided reading lesson on Microsoft Teams from 1:15-2:00.

    Writing- You will utilize your completed organizers to begin drafting your research essay.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Download and view the “Research Writing Day 10- Drafting your Essay” instructional PowerPoint located on Teams.
    3. Create a word document and utilize your completed organizers to begin drafting your research essay rough draft as instructed within the PowerPoint.

    Check Mrs. Scott’s page for your Social Studies Assignment and Seesaw for your Music assignment for today.

    Wednesday, 5/13/20-

    Reading- You will complete the Meeting Mrs. Pierce Assessment.

    Tasks-

    1. Download the “Meeting Mrs. Pierce Assessment”.
    2. Complete the multiple choice and open-ended responses. Please make sure you provide a page number for where you found proof for your answers to the required questions.
    3. Submit your completed assessment on Microsoft Teams.

     

    Writing- You will utilize your completed organizers to continue drafting your research essay.

    Tasks-

    1. Review the “Research Writing Day 10- Drafting your Essay” instructional PowerPoint from yesterday.
    2. Open the word document you began yesterday and utilize your completed organizers to continue drafting your research essay rough draft as instructed within the PowerPoint.

    Math-

    1. Access Mrs. Scott’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the Math Assignment for today.
    3. Complete and submit the completed assignment. Reach out if you need assistance completing any parts of the assignment.
