     Microsoft Teams Resource

    Please refer to Mrs. Scott’s teacher website https://www.cbsd.org/Domain/991 for information pertaining to science or social studies instruction and assignments.

    The mathematics and written language instructional activities and assignments posted on my teacher site parallel those posted by Mrs. Scott, but in addition, I will provide differentiated presentation of information, various accommodations, and/or one-on-one assistance during daily student check-ins to support students who currently have written language or mathematics IEP goals and require support to complete assignments.

    Additionally, I will provide alternate small group reading lessons with additional one-on-one and/or small group support for students with Reading IEP goals, therefore if your child has a reading IEP goal they will complete the reading lessons posted on my site rather than those posted by Mrs. Scott.

    Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you have or to request any assistance you or your child may need. :)

     

     

    Monday, 5/04/20-

    Don’t forget to join Mrs. Scott’s class meeting at 9:00!!!

    Reading- You will practice identifying cause and effect relationships present in the Meeting Mrs. Pierce text.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the “Cause and Effect-Meeting Mrs. Pierce” Assignment and download it.
    3. Complete the chart by locating cause and effect relationships present in the Meeting Mrs. Pierce text. Please make sure you record the page number(s) for each of the relationships.
    4. Upload your completed assignment on Teams.

    Writing- You will use the notes you collected during researching and that you starred and organized last Monday to complete the organizer for the fourth body paragraph (the 3rd person you have chosen for your research essay).

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Review the “Research Writing Day 6- Filling in your organizer” instructional PowerPoint from last week.
    3. Download and complete the “Person 3- Paragraph 4 Organizer” assignment as instructed within the PowerPoint.
    4. Submit the completed “Person 3- Paragraph 4 Organizer” assignment to me on Microsoft Teams.
    5. If you have revised any of your organizers from last week and would like additional feedback, you can upload your revised organizer(s) to Microsoft Teams, but please note, this is optional.

    Math-

    1. Access Mrs. Scott’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the Math Assignment for today (5-4).
    3. Complete and submit the completed assignment. Reach out if you need assistance completing any parts of the assignment.

    Reading- Participate in today’s guided reading lesson on Microsoft Teams from 1:15-2:00.

    Writing- You will begin the introductory paragraph for your research essay.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Download and view the “Research Writing Day 8- Creating an Introduction” instructional PowerPoint located on Teams.
    3. Download and begin the “Introduction Organizer” assignment as instructed within the PowerPoint.

    Check Mrs. Scott’s page for your Social Studies Assignment and Seesaw for your Music assignment for today.

    Wednesday, 5/06/20-

    Reading- You will practice using punctuation marks to show dialogue within a short text about the Women’s Suffrage Movement.

    Tasks-

    1. Download the “Punctuation-Meeting Mrs. Pierce” Assignment.
    2. Complete the practice by inserting quotation marks and commas to show dialogue.
    3. Submit your completed assignment on Microsoft Teams.

     

    Writing- You will complete the introductory paragraph for your research essay.

    Tasks-

    1. Review the “Research Writing Day 8- Creating an Introduction” instructional PowerPoint from yesterday.
    2. Finish the “Introduction Organizer” assignment as instructed within the PowerPoint that you began yesterday.
    3. Submit the completed “Introductory Organizer” assignment to me on Microsoft Teams.

    Math-

    1. Access Mrs. Scott’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the Math Assignment for today (5-6).
    3. Complete and submit the completed assignment. Reach out if you need assistance completing any parts of the assignment.
