     Microsoft Teams Resource

    Please refer to Mrs. Scott’s teacher website https://www.cbsd.org/Domain/991 for information pertaining to science or social studies instruction and assignments.

    The mathematics and written language instructional activities and assignments posted on my teacher site parallel those posted by Mrs. Scott, but in addition, I will provide differentiated presentation of information, various accommodations, and/or one-on-one assistance during daily student check-ins to support students who currently have written language or mathematics IEP goals and require support to complete assignments.

    Additionally, I will provide alternate small group reading lessons with additional one-on-one and/or small group support for students with Reading IEP goals, therefore if your child has a reading IEP goal they will complete the reading lessons posted on my site rather than those posted by Mrs. Scott.

    Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you have or to request any assistance you or your child may need. :)

     

     

    Monday, 4/20/20-

    Don’t forget to join Mrs. Scott’s class meeting at 9:00!!!

    Reading- You will complete 2 tasks today. First you will review and reinforce your understanding of the vocabulary words for the Meeting Mrs. Pierce text. Second, you will begin reading the first three chapters of the Meeting Mrs. Pierce text.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the “Vocabulary Definitions and Sentences-Meeting Mrs. Pierce” Assignment and download it.
    3. Complete numbers 1-15 by matching the vocabulary word with its definition and complete numbers 16-21 by using a vocabulary word to complete each sentence.
    4. Save your completed assignment and submit it on Microsoft Teams.

     

    1. Access RAZ Kids online athttps://www.raz-kids.com/Select- “Kids Log in”
    2. Select- “Continue to Kids A-Z”
    3. Enter Teacher’s Username- “ereynolds27”
    4. Select your name from the students listed
    5. Access your assignments to get to the “Meeting Mrs. Pierce” text
    6. Read (or listen to) the first 3 chapters- pages 1-11.

     

    Writing- You will learn the procedure for acquiring credible resources and effective note taking that you will follow when you research and take notes on three influential people of the American Revolution you have chosen.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the “Research Essay Day 3” PowerPoint.
    3. View the instructional PowerPoint that includes an overview of the procedures for effective note taking that you will follow when you take notes on three influential people of the American Revolution you have chosen. You may also download the additional resources titled “World Book Encyclopedia Log in Direction” and Epic Directions” to use as additional resources to help you research.
    4. Download and begin completing the “Note Taking Sheet- Person 1” assignment as instructed within the PowerPoint.

    Math-

    1. Access Mrs. Scott’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the Math Assignment for today (4-20).
    3. Complete and submit the completed assignment. Reach out if you need assistance completing any parts of the assignment.

    Reading- Participate in today’s guided reading lesson on Microsoft Teams from 1:15-2:00.

    Writing- You will research to acquire credible resources and effectively take notes on the first influential person of the American Revolution you have chosen.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the “Research Essay Day 4” PowerPoint.
    3. View the instructional PowerPoint You may also download the additional resources titled “World Book Encyclopedia Log in Direction” and Epic Directions” to use as additional resources to help you research.
    4. Complete the “Note Taking Sheet- Person 1” assignment you began yesterday as instructed within the PowerPoint.
    5. Submit the completed “Note Taking Sheet- Person 1” assignment to me on Microsoft Teams.

    5. Submit the completed “Note Taking Sheet- Person 2” assignment to me on Microsoft Teams.

    Math-

    1. Access Mrs. Scott’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the Math Assignment for today (4-22).
    3. Complete and submit the completed assignment. Reach out if you need assistance completing any parts of the assignment.
