    • Your special for today is QUEST. Go to Mr. Controy's website for your assignment. Lin kis in "Distance Learning Resources" and then "Other Teacher Websites".

    RELA: (Reading and Writing)

    • Task #1: Among the Hidden
      • Go to One Note - Read my feedback in RED from your response yesterday. Add to it if needed...
      • Go to One Note - Content Library - 4/21/20 Ch. 8.
      • Follow all directions in One Note. Submit your questions (2 of them) in One Note.
    • Task #2: Listen to the next chapter of Posted.
      • If you did yesterday's Padlet, I left a comment for you. If you did not do it, please add your comment by clicking here.
      • Click Here to listen to me read the rest of the chapter called, "The Confession". No response for today :) Just listen and enjoy!
      • If you missed any of the chapters before this, go to the page under "DL Resources" that says "Links for Readings of Posted". All previous chapters are there for you to listen to. They are in order, so start with the first one and go from there.
    • Task #3: Read Independently for 30 minutes.
    • Writing "Can Do" Optional Activities for the Week: If you are looking for writing activities to do this week, choose from the list below. These are OPTIONAL, but if you choose to do some, please let me know.
      • Complete a writing activity from the list below using your research from the first 2 weeks of Distance Learning (remember, you researched an argument topic of your choice).
        • Essay
        • PowerPoint
        • Letter to someone who might care about it or need to know (Examples: If you researched standardized testing, you could write to Mrs. Adelberger. If you researched social media, but you can't use it, you could write to your parents.)
        • Brochure
        • Poem
        • Commercial for you "tech people"
        • Your Choice...
      • Write a story - any story - fiction or not - that you want to write. Have fun with it. Maybe base it on something happening in real life right now...
      • Start a "Quarantine Journal". This could be in a notebook, a diary, or it could be more technology based - you could make a video journal.
      • April is "National Humor Month". Tell it at class meeting this week.
      • April 21st is "National Kindergarten Day". Write about your favorite memory from Kindergarten and then tell us at class meeting this week.

    PRE-ALGEBRA: No work for today. Check back tomorrow.

    SCIENCE:

    • Essential Questions: What is water pollution? Why is water pollution a problem?
    • Time: About 40 minutes
    • Today's Assignment:
      • Log into our Science TEAMS page. 
      • Watch the PowerPoint. To find it, follow these steps:
        • The PowerPoint you'll need is in TEAMS under the FILES tab - 
          • Click "Files" - It's at the top, to the left of "assignments".
          • Click "Class Materials" folder.
          • Click on the PowerPoint for today - "Lesson 4: Water Pollutants"
        • As you "watch" the PowerPoint, make sure you are in slideshow mode and to hit the "speaker" picture so you hear my voice :)
      • Lastly, complete today's assignment. It's in the "assignments" part of TEAMS. Complete and submit in TEAMS.
