     Microsoft Teams Resource

    Please refer to Mrs. Scott’s teacher website https://www.cbsd.org/Domain/991 for information pertaining to science or social studies instruction and assignments.

    The mathematics and written language instructional activities and assignments posted on my teacher site parallel those posted by Mrs. Scott, but in addition, I will provide differentiated presentation of information, various accommodations, and/or one-on-one assistance during daily student check-ins to support students who currently have written language or mathematics IEP goals and require support to complete assignments.

    Additionally, I will provide alternate small group reading lessons with additional one-on-one and/or small group support for students with Reading IEP goals, therefore if your child has a reading IEP goal they will complete the reading lessons posted on my site rather than those posted by Mrs. Scott.

    Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you have or to request any assistance you or your child may need. :)

     

     Monday, 4/06/20-

    Don’t forget to join our class meeting at 11:00!!!

    Reading-

    Overview- You will view a video about a famous author then complete a quiz to determine what you learned about him or her. If you want, you can screen shot or snip your results and email them to me (adwoll@cbsd.org). 😊  

    Tasks-

    1. Access the BrainPop website https://www.brainpop.com/  and log in using the username: Cbucks & password: cbuck
    2. Select the “English” tab then select “Famous Authors and Books”
    3. Choose an author and view their video
    4. Once the video ends, select the “Quiz” option
    5. Complete the quiz and review your results
    6. Select the head icon next to the current author’s name to get back to the list of authors
    7. Choose a different author and view their video
    8. Once the video ends, select the “Quiz” option
    9. Complete the quiz and review your results
    10. Read independently

     

    Writing-

    Overview- Create a Line Drawing

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Scott’s homeroom on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on the line drawing assignment.
    3. Print the document (or complete it electronically if you have the ability to draw and type on your device)
    4. Once you are finished you can take a picture (or if you completed it electronically you can save it) and email it to me. You may also post it to Mrs. Scott’s Seesaw site if you are interested in sharing with the class.

    No math today.

    Tuesday, 4/07/20-

     

    Reading-

    Overview- We will read an article titled Tips for Students Who are New to Virtual Learning. During and after reading you will complete a short quiz to measure your understanding of the information presented in the nonfiction article.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the “Virtual Learning Article” Assignment
    3. Download the PowerPoint and related resources.
    4. View the instructional PowerPoint that includes directions for the assignment and an oral reading of the article.
    5. Complete the multiple-choice questions.
    6. Submit your answers via email or within Microsoft Teams.

    Writing-

    Overview- First Day of 2-Day Informational Writing Pre-Prompt

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the “Informative Pre-Prompt” Assignment.
    3. Download the PowerPoint and related resources.
    4. View the instructional PowerPoint that includes directions for the assignment.
    5. Begin working on the assignment.

    Reading-

    Overview- We will read an article titled Our Favorite Five-Minute Break Ideas. During and after reading you will complete short-answer responses reacting to the information presented in the article.

    Tasks-

    1. Access Mrs. Burkholder’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the “Five-minute Breaks Article” Assignment
    3. Download the PowerPoint and related resources.
    4. View the instructional PowerPoint that includes directions for the assignment and an oral reading of the article.
    5. Complete the short-answer questions.
    6. Submit your answers via Microsoft Teams.

    Writing-

    Overview- Final Day of 2-Day Informational Writing Pre-Prompt

    Tasks-

    1. Review the directions and information on yesterday’s PowerPoint
    2. Complete the pre prompt assignment.
    3. Submit the assignment on Microsoft Teams.

    Math-

    1. Access Mrs. Scott’s class on Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on “Assignments” and locate the Math Assignment for today (4-8). A copy of the assignment is also located below.
    3. Complete and submit the completed assignment. Reach out if you need assistance completing any parts of the assignment.
