    1) Log on to SEESAW

    2) Go to your INBOX

    3) Find the TEAMS link

Let's Get Started with Distance Learning!

Today I assigned you 3 activities in Seesaw (reading, word work, and science).  In reading, you will access Scholastic News and learn about WHY PLANTS STINK!  Just like in the classroom, you will start by watching a video about this week's topic.  Our PASSWORD FOR SCHOLASTIC NEWS can be found in the Seesaw directions.

For word work you will be working on Sort 28 (ur/ure/ur-e).  Finally, we will continue our study of ROCKS in science! Do you remember, right before our school closure, we started talking about rocks?  Today and Thursday you will learn all about the layers of the Earth and next week you will be learning about three different kinds of rocks and where they are found in Earth's crust.

The Wild Robot Escapes Read Aloud

Today I will read Chapter 26, "The Tornado" and Chapter 27, "The Broken Robot."  Before listening to the story read aloud, get a piece of paper.  A blank piece of paper would be best.  Fold the paper in half and then in half again so that you end up with four equal squares.  In the top left square, record today's date and the chapter title.  See the picture below. Then click on the link below which will take you to Padlet and listen to Chapter 26 read aloud.  Afterward, sketch a picture of what you saw in your mind as the story was read aloud.  More directions are recorded for you on Padlet at the end of Chapter 26.  Be sure to keep this paper in a safe place.  You will be using it again.

    Happy reading and sketching!
