Math:
Overview: Dividing Fractions and Whole Numbers and Measurement
Estimated Time: Approximately 30 minutes
Explanation: Today you will review Dividing Fractions and Mixed Numbers.
Things to know:
- To review Dividing Fractions and Whole Numbers, please reference Ed: Your Friend in Learning online, or your workbook pages 241-250 (Chapter 3). Use the resource I posted yesterday.
- Please visit https://www.cbsd.org/Page/1511 to access tutorial videos related to accessing online Math in Focus resources.
- If you do not have the supplied worksheets for this day, it is fine to create your own based off the supplied worksheets.
Tasks:
- Dividing Fractions and Whole Numbers Worksheet:
- Complete the Dividing Fractions and Whole Numbers worksheet
- Measuring:
- You will need a ruler for this activity.
- If you do not have a ruler, you may use the supplied ruler in the worksheet pages. The supplied ruler is only a 10 inch or 25 centimeter ruler.
- Using a ruler, complete the measurement worksheet by filling in the chart.
- Extra: Only do this activity if you want more practice.

Overview: Reading Fluency/ Reading Comprehension/ Vocabulary
Estimated Time: Approximately 45 minutes
Explanation: Today you will practice reading your fluency passage, read your Reading A to Z book, complete RACE response comprehension questions, and practice matching your vocabulary words and definitions.
Tasks:

- You can ask anyone for help with words that you don’t know.

- Practice matching your words and definitions OR have someone at home play “match” or “memory” with you with your words and definitions.

Overview: Narrative Writing Prompt #18: Teacher Invasion (DAY 7 – this is NOT in the writing packet)
Estimated Time: Approximately 30 minutes
Explanation: Today you will read the writing prompt, decide where it will fit into your narrative, brainstorm, and begin writing.
Things to know:
- You can handwrite or type your rough draft. You may use spell check on the computer. 😊
Tasks:
- Narrative Writing Prompt #18: Teacher Invasion
- Read the writing prompt: “Even Though I had always thought Mr. Harding was seriously odd, I didn’t suspect he was an alien until that starlit night on school camp”
- Determine where this fits in your narrative: the beginning, middle, or ending.
- Write one section (beginning, middle, or end) of the story incorporating the prompt.
- Take 10-15 minutes to brainstorm ideas: setting, character(s), plot, problem, solution.
- Begin writing a rough draft for 15-20 minutes.

Spelling:
Overview: Spelling Review List 2
Estimated Time: Approximately 10 minutes
Explanation: Today you will select a spelling activity from your choice board to complete.
Tasks:

- Select 1 spelling activity from your choice board to complete in your spelling activity book or on a separate piece of paper.
