    Math:

    Overview:  Multiply and Divide 2-Digit Numbers Fluently

    Estimated Time:  Approximately 45 minutes

    Explanation:  Today you will review multiplying and dividing 2-digit numbers fluently.  You practice fact fluency and well as complete a worksheet. 

    Things to know:

    • When multiplying 2 digit numbers it is important to line up your place values.
    • If you do not have the supplied worksheets for this day, it is fine to create your own based off the supplied worksheets.
    • Please visit https://www.cbsd.org/Page/1511 to access tutorial videos related to accessing online Math in Focus resources.

    Tasks:

    • Multiplication Flashcards:
      • You will need your number cards for this activity.
      • Shuffle your set of number cards.
      • Flip over one card. Flip over a second card.  Multiply the two digits.
      • Continue until all cards are used.
      • Shuffle your set of number cards and repeat this process 5 times.
    • Complete the Multiplying and Dividing 2-Digit Numbers worksheet.
      • Use your number cards to fill in each problem.
      • Once all digits for the problem are filled in, solve the problem.

    Reading:

    Overview:  Reading Fluency/ Reading Comprehension/ Vocabulary

    Estimated Time: Approximately 45 minutes

    Explanation:  Today you will practice reading your fluency passage, complete Lesson 4 Sequencing Steps in a Process, practice matching your vocabulary words and definitions, and complete a vocabulary worksheet.

    Tasks:

    • Reading Fluency
      • Practice reading your fluency passage.
      • You can ask anyone for help with words that you don’t know.
    • Reading A to Z Book VOCABULARY:
      • Practice matching your words and definitions OR have someone at home play “match” or “memory” with you with your words and definitions.
      • Complete the CLOZE SENTENCES page in your vocabulary packet.
    • Reading Comprehension: Lesson 4 Sequence Steps in a Process (pages 17-20)
      • Read and answer the questions on pages 17-20.
      • Practice Vocabulary on page 20
      • Complete the Reading and Writing connection – writing a how to paragraph. Write all about how to do something that you know well.
    • Reading Comprehension:
      • Select a “just right” chapter book that you have at home. Read for 10-minutes and complete 4 different stop-and-jots.

    Writing:

    Overview:  Fiction Writing (DAY 3 IN WRITING PACKET)

    Estimated Time: Approximately 35-40 minutes

    Explanation:  Today you will write a short fictional story that includes a setting, a character, a problem the character must face, and the resolution. 

    Things to know:

    • You can handwrite or type your story. You may use spell check on the computer.  😊

    Tasks:

    • Fictional Writing
      • Write a short story that includes a setting (where the story takes place), a character, a problem the character must face, and the resolution (how the problem is solved).

    Spelling:

    Overview:  Spelling Review List 1

    Estimated Time: Approximately 10 minutes

    Explanation:  Today you will select a spelling activity from your choice board to complete. 

    Tasks:

    • Spelling Review List 1
      • Select 1 spelling activity from your choice board to complete in your spelling activity book or on a separate piece of paper.
