    March 23rd: Day 4

    Overview:  Reading to Practice

    Estimated Time:  10-15 minutes

    Explanation of Assignment:  Choose Day 3 article from folder to reread (Fascinating Frogs, Why Do Animals Play?, Gabby's Gold, Can You Spot the Leopard?  with the poem, The Leopard, Learning on the Soccer Field, Happy Trails) and answer comprehension questions or organizer. 

    Quick things to know:  Find a quiet place to reread the article.  Be aware when something confused you.  

    Tasks:  

    1. Choose Day 3 article to reread (Fascinating Frogs, Why Do Animals Play?, Gabby's Gold, Can you Spot the Leopard?  with the poem, The Leopard, Learning on the Soccer Field, Happy Trails).
    2.  Answer comprehension questions or complete organizer.
    3. Make sure you go back to the text to answer the questions correctly. 

     

    March 24th:  Day 5

    Overview:  Reading to Practice

    Estimated Time:  10-15 minutes

    Explanation of Assignment:  Choose two articles from Day 1 and 3 folder to reread (Fascinating Frogs; Why Do Animals Play?; Gabby's Gold;  Can You Spot the Leopard?  with the poem: The Leopard:  Learning on the Soccer Field;  Happy Trails) and add new notes.

    Quick things to know:  Find a quiet place to reread the articles.  Be aware when something confused you.  

    Tasks:  

    1. Choose two articles from Day 1 and 3 to reread (Fascinating Frogs, Why Do Animals Play?, Gabby's Gold, Can you Spot the Leopard?  with the poem, The Leopard, Learning on the Soccer Field, Happy Trails).
    2. Go to Padlet and write What Surprised Me?  about the two articles you read: padlet.com/ekosch/zjs2wimu3ir9

     

     March 25th:  Day 6

    Overview:  Reading to Practice

    Estimated Time:  10-15 minutes

    Explanation of Assignment:  Choose another new article from folder to read (Fascinating Frogs;  Why Do Animals Play?;  Gabby's Gold ; Can You Spot the Leopard?  with the poem: The Leopard; Learning on the Soccer Field, Happy Trails) and jot down notes.  This should be your third article.  

    Quick things to know:  Find a quiet place to read the article.  Be aware when something confused you.  

    Tasks:  

    1. Choose another new article to read (Fascinating Frogs, Why Do Animals Play?, Gabby's Gold, Can you Spot the Leopard?  with the poem: The Leopard, Learning on the Soccer Field, Happy Trails.
    2.  Write down inner thoughts and notes about the article.  Use  scrap piece paper or jot on the article.
    3. Circle unknown words and use contect clues to help with the meaning.  

     

    March 26th:  Day 7

    Overview:  Reading to Practice

    Explanation of Assignment:  Choose yesterday's article from folder to reread (Fascinating Frogs; Why Do Animals Play?;  Gabby's Gold;  Can You Spot the Leopard?  with the poem: The Leopard;  Learning on the Soccer Field; Happy Trails) and answer comprehension questions or organizer. 

    Quick things to know:  Find a quiet place to reread the article.  Be aware when something confused you.
