    Overview: Reading and responding to text

    Estimated Time: 45 minutes

    Explanation of Assignment: You will read independently, and also read a passage and respond to the questions provided.

    Tasks:

    Watch the Pixar Short film.  Watch it TWO TIMES.

    While watching, think about what the THEME of the video is.   Use the review sheet sent to your school email for guidance.

    Write an 8 sentence paragraph discussing what the THEME of the video is, using evidence from the video to support your answer.  You may write this paragraph in your reading notebook or type it in Word.

    Overview: Reading Non-fiction text and taking notes

    Estimated Time: 25 minutes

    Explanation of Assignment: You will learn about the Statue of Liberty and take notes on the information in the text. 

    Task:

     Please use today to catch up on any of the previous days of writing.  This would be from last week's assignments.

    You can look at the dates:  3/17, 3/18, 3/19  in the Distance Learning tabs

     

    We will pick back up next week with moving forward in the article.
