ALL GRADES – Animal Charades
Physical Education
Overview: Print out and cut out each individual animal and place in a hat or box. Players take turns silently acting out one of the items until the other players correctly guess. Once the animal is guessed, choose another family member who has not picked a piece of paper yet, and then they get to have their fun acting.
Estimated Time:
10-15 minutes to an hour
Explanation of Activity: Cut out each individual animal, fold each in half, and put them in a bucket. (you can also just write down each animal on separate pieces of paper) Begin the game by having the first family member choose a piece of paper. They then need to act out the animal silently, while the other family members try to guess what animal is being portrayed. Once the animal is guessed, choose another family member who has not picked a piece of paper yet, and then they get to have their fun acting.
Quick things to know:
No speaking when you are acting out each animal. You can create additional categories if the family is having fun!
Reflection: Dance is expression through movement. Is this game considered dancing???
