Overview - You are going to review/practice using pronouns in a sentence.
- There is a "Pronouns Cheat sheet" on my Canvas page in our Reading Class under the IReady Module (Click on IReady Grammar - Pronouns for all materials)
Estimated Time - 30 minutes
Explanation of Activity/Assignment - Follow the directions above in the "Overview" section of this lesson to access the Pronoun practice worksheet. Please be sure to write your answers on a separte sheet of lined paper. For this activity you will need to read the examples at the top of the worksheet to review clear vs. unclear pronouns. Then, read the small paragraph at the bottom of the page to identify pronouns that are not clear. Once you do so, cross them out and replace them with pronouns that are more specific. Finally, on the second page, read the paragraph and to the BEST of your ability, answer questions 1-4.
Quick things to know - ALL materials needed for this lesson on posted on Canvas in our Reading Class. Do not worry about printing a copy of this worksheet. You can write your answers on a separate sheet of lined paper.

Overview - Read article "Oldest Known Holocaust Survivor; dies at age 110" and answer questions 1-5 at the end of the reading.

Explanation of Activity/Assignment - Read and annotate the article "Oldest Known Holocaust Survivor; dies at age 110". As you read, underline information you find to be shocking, interesting, or have a question about. Once you are done reading, answer the 5 questions at the end of the text on a separate sheet of paper.

Use a separte sheet of paper to write down interesting information, as well as, to answer the 5 comprehension questions at the end of the reading.
